New Hope Baptist Church, Coal Valley, IL
Seeking a Shepherd for a Season of Growth
New Hope Baptist Church in Coal Valley, Illinois, is prayerfully seeking a full-time Senior Pastor called by God to lead our congregation into an exciting new chapter of ministry.
We are a warm, welcoming Southern Baptist family dedicated to our mission:
Worshiping God, Serving Others, and Teaching Everyone to Follow Jesus.
Located in the heart of the Quad Cities area, New Hope is a community of believers that feels like family. With an average attendance of 70, we are a church that values deep relationships and active community engagement. From our “Summerfest” outreach to our “Hot Wheels” highlights, we love finding creative ways to share the life-changing message of Christ with our neighbors in Coal Valley.
OurIdeal Candidate:
- A Compassionate Shepherd: Someone with a heart for people, dedicated to providing pastoral care, visiting the hurting, and walking alongside our members in all seasons of life.
- A Strong Biblical Teacher: A leader committed to the authority of Scripture, capable of delivering inspiring, verse-by-verse teaching that challenges us to grow in our daily walk with Christ.
- Growth-Minded & Community-Engaged: A visionary who is eager to engage the Coal Valley community, building on our current foundations to reach the lost and welcome new families into the fold.
- Position: Full-time
- Education: A Seminary degree is preferred; however, we highly value significant pastoral experience and a proven track record of faithful ministry.
- Theology: Must adhere to the Baptist Faith and Message 2000.
- Vision: A desire to lead a mid-sized congregation through spiritual and numerical growth while maintaining the “family feel” that defines New Hope.
This is a full-time position. While a parsonage is not provided, the salary is competitive and commensurate with the local area and the responsibilities of a 100-person congregation.
