Duties
Prairieview-Ogden CCSD #197 is a dedicated K-8 district nestled in the heart of Champaign County, Illinois. PVO serves approximately 250 students across three community-based schools in Flatville, Ogden, and Royal. PVO South is home to approximately 120 students in grades K-6. Our district is defined by a "generational community" feel, benefiting from the support of involved families and the unique closeness of a small-town environment.
We are seeking a passionate elementary teacher to join our team at PVO South. The successful candidate will work alongside a seasoned staff of educators whose primary mission is to nurture and educate our students.
Primary Responsibilities:
* Instructional Excellence:
Provide engaging classroom instruction across various subject areas.
* Curriculum Planning:
Develop and implement lesson plans that align with district standards and meet diverse student needs.
* Student Support:
Present and reinforce core learning concepts through creative and effective teaching methods.
* Classroom Management:
Maintain a positive, safe, and productive learning environment.
* Supervision:
Perform necessary supervisory duties to ensure student safety and well-being.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree, Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) or ability to obtain an Illinois PEL.
Salary/Benefits
Salary Range:
* Base Salary: $38,635 - $52,875 (Commensurate with education and experience).
* Total Reportable Salary: $42,445 - $58,105 (Inclusive of the district-paid TRS contribution).
* Final placement on the salary schedule is determined by the PVO Collective Bargaining Agreement.

The district pays the employee's required portion of the Teachers' Retirement System (TRS).

* Employer-paid health insurance at the negotiated rate.
* Optional vision and dental insurance plans are available.
* Paid Time Off:
