High School Math Teacher

Duties

Fisher Junior/Senior High School is seeking a passionate and dedicated High School Math Teacher to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Algebra I, Honors Algebra II, and Honors AP Calculus to students in grades 9-12, fostering a positive and engaging learning environment, and supporting the academic growth of each student.

* Teach mathematics to students in grades 9-12 following the Illinois state curriculum standards.

* Develop and implement lesson plans that are engaging, innovative, and appropriate for the age and ability levels of students.

* Use a variety of instructional strategies, tools, and resources to ensure all students can succeed.

* Provide regular feedback to students and their families regarding progress.

* Foster a positive classroom environment that promotes respect, inclusivity, and academic success.

* Participate in school-wide activities and professional development opportunities.

* Collaborate with other faculty and staff to enhance student achievement and school culture.

Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Education, or related field.

* Valid Illinois teaching certification in Mathematics (grades 9-12) or the ability to obtain one.

* Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

* Passion for teaching and commitment to student success.

* Ability to work effectively as part of a team and in a collaborative environment.
