Fox River Grove School District 3 is seeking a compassionate, collaborative, and dedicated School Psychologist to support the academic, social-emotional, and behavioral success of all students. Under the direction of the Director of Student Services, the School Psychologist works with students, staff, and families to promote positive mental health, resilience, and learning outcomes through assessment, consultation, intervention, and participation in district-wide systems of support.

Essential Performance Responsibilities

Conduct psychological assessments, evaluations, and diagnostic examinations to support educational planning and decision-making.

Complete initial and re-evaluations for special education services, including participation in domain, eligibility, and IEP meetings.

Provide individual, group, or facilitative counseling services for students who benefit from behavioral, social-emotional, or instructional supports.

Assist with the identification, placement, and ongoing support of students with disabilities.

Collaborate with administrators, teachers, and support staff to identify student strengths and needs and to promote effective use of psychological services.

Coordinate and lead problem-solving meetings.

Actively participate in the Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) framework, including data analysis, intervention planning, and progress monitoring.

Serve as a key member of MTSS, IEP, and 504 teams, providing expertise in learning, behavior, and mental health.

Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and develop Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs).

Serve as a resource and consultant on mental health and child development; provide in-service training as requested.

Provide crisis intervention services as needed.

Maintain accurate and confidential student records in compliance with district procedures and applicable laws.

Encourage parental involvement and maintain effective communication with students and families.

Engage in ongoing professional development to remain current with best practices and legal requirements in school psychology.

Additional Duties
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the Principal, Director of Student Services, or Superintendent.
  • Travels to school district buildings and professional meetings as required.

Salary and Benefits

$51,747 base salary minimum

$5,118 (Fully paid TRS)

14 sick days (3 may be used as personal days)

Health insurance: 80% district-paid BCBS (individual)

Life insurance

$225 per credit hour tuition reimbursement
