Position Summary:
Lebanon CUSD #9 is seeking a passionate and dedicated Junior High Teacher who holds required endorsements in ELA/SS and preferred in Science . The ideal candidate will foster a positive learning environment, support academic growth, and collaborate with colleagues to deliver engaging, standards-aligned instruction.
Key Responsibilities:
* Teach Junior High English Language Arts courses
* Provide instruction in Social Studies and/or Science as assigned
* Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with state standards
* Assess student learning and provide timely feedback
* Create a classroom environment that supports student engagement and growth
* Collaborate with grade-level teams and support staff
* Communicate effectively with students, parents, and administration
* Participate in professional development and school activities
Qualifications:
* Valid Illinois Professional Educator License
* Endorsement in English Language Arts/SS required
* Science endorsement preferred
* Strong classroom management and instructional skills
* Commitment to student-centered learning
* Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
