Special Education Teacher - High School

Duties

Central CUSD #4 is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher to serve students in 9th-12th Grade. This resource position may also include co-teaching within general education classrooms to support inclusive practices and meet the diverse needs of our learners.

Key Responsibilities:

* Provide individualized and small group instruction aligned to students' IEP goals.

* Collaborate with general education teachers to plan and deliver co-taught lessons.

* Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records.

* Communicate effectively with families, support staff, and related service providers.

* Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Qualifications

* Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with LBS1 endorsement required.

* Experience working with elementary students in a special education setting preferred.

* Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
