Location: Toledo
Duties
* Plan, prepare, and deliver lesson plans that promote active learning using a direct and explicit model.
* Develop lessons and assessments aligned with the district-approved curriculum.
* Instruct and monitor students in utilizing learning materials in accordance with the district-approved curriculum.
* Manage student behavior in the classroom by establishing and enforcing rules and procedures.
* Maintain discipline by adhering to the school's rules and disciplinary systems.
* Encourage and monitor individual student progress, using this information to adjust teaching strategies and provide appropriate feedback on student work.
* Assign and grade classwork, homework, tests, and assignments.
* Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of students' progress and development.
* Update all necessary records accurately and thoroughly as required by laws, district policies, and school regulations.
* Prepare required reports.
* Participate in department, school, district, and parent meetings.
* Communicate essential information regularly to students, colleagues, and parents regarding student progress.
* Prepare the classroom for activities and maintain a safe and orderly environment.
* Engage in appropriate professional activities.
Qualifications
* B.A./B.S. degree in teaching from an accredited institution or in a related field.
* Illinois State certification in teaching in the appropriate subject areas.
* Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others.
* Effective oral and written communication skills.
* Proven ability to report to work regularly and punctually.
* Meet professional teacher education requirements established by the school, district, and state.
Salary/Benefits
As per the salary schedule $51,010 - $90,316
