High School English​/Social Studies Teacher

Duties

The Tri-Valley School District is looking for a student-centered, high-energy, and hard-working High School English Teacher for the  school year. The ideal candidate will also have the ability or willingness to obtain certification to teach Social Studies. This teacher will work with students in grades 9-12 and be an integral member of our staff at Tri-Valley High School. This position provides instruction to students and performs a wide variety of tasks with curriculum planning, supervision, presenting and reinforcing learning concepts, and teaching children in a classroom setting.

Coaching and sponsorship opportunities will also be available throughout the school district.

Qualifications

* Professional Educator License through the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) with approved program/endorsement for English.

* Minimum of a Bachelor's degree.

* Endorsements in Social Studies or have a willingness to obtain certification.

* Interest in coaching, activity sponsor ships, or other school community roles are preferred.
