Junior High Dean of Students​/Athletic Director

Duties

General Description

Applicants must have excellent skills in communication, planning, organization, leadership, and a passion for excellence beyond the classroom. The Dean of Students/Athletic Director's primary duties and responsibilities would include:

* Resolve student issues by meeting with students, parents, teachers and other school staff and designing a plan of action.

* Lead and evaluate coaches, sports programs, athletic facilities, and budgets

* Assist the principal with parent, faculty, and student groups as requested in advancing educational and related activities and objectives.

* Schedule and plan for all IESA, BVEC, and other events on the school calendar

* Supervise extracurricular events and activities

* Communicate and coordinate with the Bureau Valley Booster Club

* Maintain a positive attitude and professional demeanor when dealing with school personnel and the public as a school leader

* Conduct other duties as assigned by the administration

Qualifications

Requirements:

* Current and valid PEL license

* Administrative Masters/Type 75 endorsement

* Administrative and coaching experience - preferred but not required
