Overview
Adjuncts are hired on a course basis each term. Salary Range for Adjuncts teaching in this academic area is $500.00 - $3,300.00 per course. Governors State University’s College of Education and Leadership seeks to create an available pool of Adjunct Faculty candidates to teach courses in our Education and Leadership departments. Courses taught by adjunct faculty in the above programs are for undergraduates, graduates, or a combination of both.
This position often works with cohorts of teachers within their school district, so travel may be required to teach at an off-site location. At Governors State University, adjunct faculty are hired as temporary faculty with teaching responsibilities for a specific course in a semester or summer session. Adjuncts are not a part of the faculty bargaining unit and are not included in membership of the Faculty Senate.
- Teach courses in the Education and Leadership departments.
- Work with cohorts of teachers within their school district.
- Travel to off-site locations if required.
- Complete a faculty profile and attach a curriculum vitae and transcripts for consideration.
- Minimum: A Master’s degree in Bilingual Education, TESOL, or a related field.
