Position Summary

The Dean of Student Services leads daily implementation of student support systems, including discipline, climate, and Tier 2/3 intervention coordination. This role ensures consistent behavioral systems and responsive support structures across divisions.

Essentials Functions
  • Implement restorative and proactive behavior frameworks.
  • Monitor referral trends and analyze behavior data.
  • Coordinate Tier 2 and Tier 3 supports.
  • Support behavior intervention plans and ensure accommodations are implemented effectively.
  • Lead crisis management protocols and maintain consistency with Division Heads.
  • Provide staff training on classroom management within experiential settings.
Additional Responsibilities

Perform other duties and assume additional responsibilities as assigned by the CEO to support the evolving needs of the organization.

  • Works closely with Division Heads to ensure consistent expectations.
  • Partners with the Director of Academics to align behavioral supports with instructional shifts.
  • Supports teachers in building strong classroom management within experiential environments.
  • Builds trust with students, families, and staff.
  • Handles difficult conversations with professionalism and respect.
  • Maintains confidentiality and discretion.
  • Ensures documentation accuracy and compliance.
  • Maintains organized systems for referrals, interventions, and reporting.
  • Demonstrates strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to balance warmth and accountability.

Environmental Conditions

Office‑based with regular interaction throughout the school.

Attendance at meetings and events outside regular school hours.

Physical Context of the Job

Regular travel within the school building and occasional off‑site meetings.

Terms of Employment

Full‑time, 11‑month position.

Salary and benefits commensurate with experience and locally competitive.

Expected Salary Range: $78,000 – $100,000 annually.
