Director of Study Abroad Programs, UNLV Global Education
Reporting to the Senior Executive Director of UNLV Global, the Director provides leadership for all aspects of the institution's outbound student Study Abroad Programs and activities, setting strategic direction, developing, implementing, expanding, and assessing high‑impact learning opportunities.
Key Responsibilities- Strategic planning and development of study abroad programs in coordination with senior leadership.
- Oversee academic approval, operational oversight, financial sustainability, compliance, and risk management.
- Collaborate with academic and administrative units to review and approve new international activities.
- Manage the Study Abroad Scholarship portfolio and supervise the Program team.
- Provide guidance to students pursuing Fulbright and other national competitive awards.
- Track core metrics and align with university strategic initiatives to support enrollment growth and student success.
- Master’s degree or JD from an accredited institution.
- 5–7 years of related professional experience in international education or a related field.
- Background in program development, higher education leadership, cross‑cultural work, program management, and supervision of staff.
- 1–3 years of supervisory experience and 1–3 years of management experience.
- Experience living, studying, or working abroad, especially in non‑English‑speaking countries.
- Experience leading an international education office.
- 7–9 years related professional experience, 3–5 years supervisory experience, and 3–5 years management experience.
