Assistant Professor, English (Literary Nonfiction)
The University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) invites applications for a full‑time, nine‑month, tenure‑track position in the Department of English beginning fall 2026. The incumbent will teach undergraduate and graduate courses in creative writing and literary nonfiction, advise graduate students, and serve on departmental committees.
Responsibilities- Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in creative writing and literary nonfiction.
- Advise graduate students on thesis manuscripts and translation projects.
- Serve on departmental committees.
- Contribute to the Literary Nonfiction program of the M.F.A. and Ph.D. in English with creative dissertation.
- M.F.A., Ph.D. in English with a concentration in Literary Nonfiction, or equivalent credential from an accredited institution.
- Significant publication record with at least one book of Literary Nonfiction in print or in press by a nationally recognized publisher at the time of hire.
- Eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Experience in literary translation.
