JOB DESCRIPTION BARRINGTON COMMUNITY UNIT SCHOOL DISTRICT 220
Position Title:
Play and Musical Costumer (Middle School)
Reports To:
Middle School Assistant Principal/Athletic Director
Season:
Fall
The coach is responsible for leading and managing all aspects of the athletic team, including developing practice plans, strategizing for games, mentoring student-athletes, and promoting a positive team culture. The coach ensures that the program aligns with the school's values and goals, fostering both athletic excellence and personal growth among student-athletes.
Qualifications- Licensed as a certified teacher or certified through an IESA approved coaches education program
- Completed mandated concussion training
- Previous experience preferred, but not required
- Effective communication and problem-solving skills
- Strong work ethic and organizational skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to work positively and productively with adults and student participants
Generally practice M-F for at least 8 weeks (unless a game is scheduled)

Physical Demands- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, walk, talk, demonstrate, and listen.
- The employee may regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, such as athletic equipment.
