Licensure: Bachelor's degree in Education required
Endorsement: Must have Bilingual Endorsement (Spanish);
Must speak, read and write Spanish

Job Goal- To provide instruction and functional curriculum support for Bilingual students.
- To provide a personalized instructional program that is compatible with the abilities, needs and learning characteristics of each identified Bilingual student.
- To provide bilingual instruction in a variety of subjects to children whose primary language is Spanish
- Instruct students in full curriculum, possibly in a dual language program
- Prepare course objectives following state and school guidelines
- Keep attendance and grade reports
- Serve as teacher of record and will manage a caseload of bilingual students for pull‑out service delivery
- Hold parent teacher conferences
- Effectively utilize district technologies appropriate to the position
- Work collaboratively with general and special education teachers, support personnel, administrators and parents in an environment which will enable identified students to succeed in their efforts to learn language literacy
- Monitor student growth and collaboratively identify and deliver interventions
- Collect and analyze student achievement data to demonstrate student growth (e.g., running records, progress monitoring instruments)
- Assist in gathering data and preparing reports to meet district, state and federal guidelines relating to ELL and maintain all necessary records as required by the program
- Provide district leadership in the development, implementation and monitoring of the district‑wide ELL programming
- Provide content knowledge and pedagogical expertise regarding bilingual programming including:
- Instructional strategies
- Interpretation of assessment data to document student progress and plan instruction
- Practices that promote learning
- Provide information and guidance regarding a range of effective and innovative practices for ELL through various activities such as:
- Formal and informal discussions
- Coaching sessions
- Study groups
- Professional development and/or training programs and workshops
- Medical, dental, and vision insurance options
- Life insurance options
- Participation in the Teachers' Retirement System (TRS) or IMRF (depending on position)
- Paid sick and personal leave
- Other benefits as outlined in the applicable collective bargaining agreement
