The OpportunityWe are now welcoming Expressions of Interest for Relief Teachers to join our Harrisdale Primary Relief Pool.
Relief Teachers play a vital role in the life of our school community, providing continuity of learning, calm leadership, and meaningful connection for students and staff across our Primary School.
This is flexible, casual work suited to educators who enjoy variety, thrive in dynamic environments, and are passionate about creating positive classroom experiences that support both learning and wellbeing.
Whether stepping into a classroom for a single day or supporting longer-term cover arrangements, Relief Teachers at Carey are trusted to create safe, engaging, and student-centred learning environments where students can continue to flourish.

Who We’re Looking ForWe’re seeking teachers who:
- Have a genuine Christian faith and commitment to Carey’s mission and values
- Hold current TRBWA registration
- Bring strong classroom management and relational teaching skills
- Create engaging, inclusive, and student-focused learning environments
- Are adaptable, organised, and confident stepping into new classroom settings
- Work collaboratively and communicate effectively with staff and students
- Value student wellbeing alongside academic growth
- Embody Carey’s values of Kindness, Courage, Respect, Humility, and Integrity
Graduate teachers, experienced educators, and teachers returning to the profession are all encouraged to apply.
What You May Be Doing- Delivering planned learning experiences across a range of Primary year levels
- Maintaining calm, positive, and productive classroom environments
- Supporting student engagement, participation, and wellbeing throughout the school day
- Building positive and respectful relationships with students and colleagues
- Following lesson plans and school procedures confidently and professionally
- Providing clear communication and handover notes to classroom teachers
- Contributing positively to the wider school community during relief engagements
