Catholic Nursery​/PKCaregiver

Position Overview

We are seeking a part-time
Catholic Nursery/PK2 caregiver for the 2026‑2027 academic year, 14 hours per week, at our center near Chicago in Lemont, IL. A teaching certification or formal teaching experience is not required; we will provide all necessary training. Experience with babies or young children, ministry at a Catholic parish, teaching Religious Education or Catechism, or teaching your own children is desirable.

Regina Caeli Academy is a classical homeschool academy in the Catholic tradition. It operates a formal Socratic classroom setting on Mondays and Thursdays, offering instruction to students in that tradition.

• Provide care and educational support for children in the Nursery/PK2 program during 8:15 am–3:15 pm.
• Attend a mandatory training day on August 3, 4, or 5 2026 (TBD) prior to teaching.
• Maintain a background check and complete mandatory staff training.
• Adhere to curriculum and grading guidelines provided by the Academy.
• Maintain a strong Catholic faith, having received all sacraments appropriate to your state in life and living the faith day to day.

• Ability to sign an Oath of Fidelity to the Catholic Church.
• Strong communication skills, good organization, and timeliness.
• Traditional view of the student/teacher relationship.
• Willingness to live the Catholic faith daily and be part of a Catholic community.
• Background check clearance.

Positions are hourly and childcare/nursery is provided during instructional hours. No additional vacation days are given; accommodations are made for sick days as needed. Nursing babies are always welcome.
