Evaluation: MTSS Interventionists are evaluated by the director of curriculum & instruction or the building principal. Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board of Education's policy on the Evaluation of Professional Personnel, developed pursuant to State law.

Qualifications:

• Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with Endorsement in elementary education, special education, reading specialist, school social work, school psychology, or related field preferred
• Experience working with students requiring academic and/or behavioral interventions
• Knowledge of MTSS, diagnostic tools, intervention strategies, and progress monitoring tools
• Strong collaboration, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to analyze student data and implement targeted interventions

Performance Responsibilities:

• Demonstrate support for the mission, beliefs, and goals of MSD

• Deliver small group and individual interventions aligned to student needs
• Utilize evidence-based instructional and behavioral intervention strategies
• Monitor student progress regularly and maintain accurate intervention documentation
• Assist in identifying students who may require additional support services
• Collaborate with classroom teachers to support differentiated instruction and intervention implementation
• Plan for and participate in MTSS meetings, problem-solving teams, and data review meetings
• Lead and assist with universal screening reviews and intervention planning
• Support staff with intervention strategies, accommodations, and progress monitoring practices
• Collaborate with administrators, teachers, counselors, psychologists, social workers, and special education staff regarding student interventions and supports
• Help ensure compliance with district MTSS procedures and documentation requirements
• Collect, analyze, and interpret student academic and behavioral data
• Maintain intervention records and progress monitoring data in district-approved systems
• Prepare reports and summaries for staff meetings, parent communication, and student support discussions
• Use data to make recommendations regarding intervention adjustments or additional supports
• Communicate with parents/guardians regarding intervention plans and student progress as appropriate
• Support staff in understanding MTSS procedures and intervention expectations, to include the guidance & supervision of support staff
• Participate in parent conferences and student support meetings when needed
• Maintain confidentiality regarding student records and information
• Follow all district policies, procedures, and applicable state and federal regulations
• Participate in professional development activities related to MTSS, intervention practices, and student support services
• Assumes responsibility for other duties as may be assigned by director of curriculum & instruction or the building principal
