Position Summary and

Key Responsibilities

The Manager of Community Education and SEVIS Operations supports student learning, belonging, and engagement through community education, residential programming support, housing insecurity processing, commuter student services, inclusive education initiatives, and SEVIS-related operations. The position coordinates educational programming, supports student resource connection, assists with international student compliance processes, and serves as a Designated School Official for SEVIS. This position works closely with the Assistant Vice President of Student Affairs, Director of Residence Life, Manager of Student Standards and SEVIS Operations, Residence Life staff, Student Success, Academic Records, Admission, Public Safety, and other campus partners to support student development, student support, compliance, and student success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the Residence Life programming model in collaboration with the Director of Residence Life, Manager of Student Standards and SEVIS Operations, Area Coordinators, Resident Assistants, and other Student Affairs staff to support programming, student support, policy education, and response efforts that intersect with the student experience.
  • Create and maintain the yearly developmental programming calendar in alignment with university mission, student learning, belonging, and engagement goals.
  • Support educational programming related to residential community development, student transition, responsible citizenship, student wellness, inclusion, and campus engagement.
  • Prepare and support programming curriculum, training materials, assessment tools, and resources for Residence Life staff and student leaders.
  • Assist with student programs, engagement efforts, and outcomes assessment and reporting.
  • Serve as the primary staff member for housing insecurity intake, processing, documentation, resource referral, and follow-up support in coordination with the Assistant Vice President of Student Affairs. Support the Assistant Vice President of Student Affairs in responsibilities related to HOUSE student support, while the Assistant VP remains the designated campus liaison.
  • Serve as a referral agent for students with personal, academic, or other support-related concerns outside the position's direct areas of responsibility, connecting students with appropriate campus and community resources.
  • Coordinate outreach, communication, and resource connection for commuter students.
  • Support student engagement initiatives that connect residential, commuter, international, and historically underrepresented students to campus resources and opportunities.
  • Coordinate bias incident intake, processing, documentation, referral, and follow-up under Title VI and related University procedures, in consultation with the Assistant Vice President of Student Affairs and appropriate campus partners.
  • Support educational follow-up, resource connection, and campus communication related to bias incidents, with attention to student support, community impact, and institutional response.
  • Serve as a supporting campus contact for SEVIS operations and as a Designated School Official under the direction of the Primary Designated School Official, assisting with international student compliance processes, including SEVIS record maintenance, documentation, reporting, and communication with international students regarding compliance expectations.
  • Collaborate with Student Success, Academic Records, Admission, and other offices to support international student processes and student success.
  • Serve as the lead liaison for the University's study abroad program, coordinating student communication, campus partnerships, documentation, and related support processes.
  • Serve on University committees or task forces as appointed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
  • Professional post-baccalaureate experience in student programming, inclusive education, international student support, high school exchange programs, or related areas.
