St. Mary School of Metamora is currently seeking a kindergarten teacher for the school year, to inspire and educate students in faith and academics. About the RoleThe kindergarten teacher provides engaging and effective instruction in accordance with Catholic values and academic standards. This role supports our mission of growing disciples by fostering a nurturing and inclusive learning environment that cultivates intellectual, spiritual, and emotional development.
What You Will Do- Instruction:
Plan and deliver dynamic lessons that meet curriculum guidelines and address the needs of diverse learners. - Faith Integration:
Incorporate Catholic teachings and values into daily instruction and activities. - Student Engagement:
Foster a positive and respectful classroom culture where students feel safe, supported, and motivated to achieve their best. - Assessment:
Evaluate and monitor student progress through various assessment tools and provide feedback to guide learning. - Collaboration:
Work with fellow teachers, parents, and administration to ensure student success and community building. - Professional Development:
Stay current with educational best practices and participate in ongoing training to enhance teaching skills.
To be considered for this role, you must meet the following requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in education or a related field
- Active Illinois state board of education (ISBE) licensure
- Commitment to Catholic values and the mission of Catholic education
- Strong classroom management and instructional skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
