Elementary Resource Special Education Teacher

Special Education Teacher (Grades K–4)

Central CUSD #4 is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher to serve students in Kindergarten through Fourth Grade. This resource position may also include co-teaching within general education classrooms to support inclusive practices and meet the diverse needs of our learners.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized and small group instruction aligned to students' IEP goals.
• Collaborate with general education teachers to plan and deliver co-taught lessons.
• Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records.
• Communicate effectively with families, support staff, and related service providers.
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Qualifications:

• Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with LBS1 endorsement required.
• Experience working with elementary students in a special education setting preferred.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
