EL/Bilingual Resource Teacher
The EL/Bilingual Resource Teacher shall provide instruction to help potentially English proficient (PEP) students develop cognitive, academic, and language abilities in Spanish and English. The teacher will provide pull-out and push-in services to small groups of students ranging from K-8. Primary responsibilities include identifying and assessing the academic level, language proficiency level, cultural history, and linguistic history of students who are eligible for bilingual services.
The teacher will provide bilingual instruction to small groups of students in grades K-8 using a collaborative TBE model (pull-out or push-in services based on student need). Additionally, the teacher will collaborate with the EL Department to ensure best practices through service delivery and make recommendations as to the best placement within the Transitional Bilingual Program (full-time or part-time).

Requirements:
Must meet one of the following ISBE requirements for a bilingual educator:
Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with bilingual education endorsement in Spanish OR Educator License with Stipulations (ELS-VIT) with a passing score on the English proficiency test OR ELS-TBE with bilingual education endorsement in Spanish OR Short Term Approval (PEL with 9 hours of coursework in bilingual education or a passing score on the Spanish language proficiency test). Compensation: $50, dependent on qualifications
