FULL-TIME WELDING TECHNOLOGY INSTRUCTOR
Southwestern Illinois College is accepting applications for the full-time, tenure track Instructor in the Welding Technology degree and certificate program within the Technical Education division. The anticipated start date is July 1, 2026 or the first day of the Fall 2026 Semester (August 2026).
POSITION DESCRIPTIONIn accordance with the Mission and Values of Southwestern Illinois College, the successful applicant will teach Welding Technology program courses (lecture and lab) in both the traditional and virtual environment. Welding Technology classes are held days, evenings, and weekends throughout the district.
QUALIFICATIONSThis is a nine‑month teaching position with the salary determined by placement on the base salary schedule. For example, the minimum salary at Step 1 on the below Master degree column is $50,461. The actual starting salary is determined by educational attainment level and experience. Voluntary overload and summer teaching assignments may also be available which may increase the annual compensation.
