Reading Interventionist

Job Summary

Clinton Elementary School is seeking a dedicated and passionate Reading Interventionist to join our team on a full-time basis.

• Assess and identify students’ reading levels and specific areas of need through formal and informal assessments.
• Develop and implement individualized intervention plans tailored to meet the unique needs of each student.
• Provide direct, targeted reading instruction to students in small groups or one‑on‑one settings.
• Monitor and track student progress, adjusting intervention strategies as needed to ensure continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers to integrate effective reading strategies into the general curriculum.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in reading instruction and intervention.
• Serve as a resource for teachers and staff regarding literacy instruction and intervention strategies.

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Reading, Special Education, or a related field.
• Valid teaching certification PEL.
• Proven experience working with elementary‑aged students, particularly in reading intervention or special education settings.
• Strong knowledge of reading development, assessment tools, and intervention strategies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with students, parents, and staff.
• Passion for fostering a love of reading and literacy in young learners.
