Description

Champaign County Regional Planning Commission is seeking Early Childhood Education Teachers to join our team. Champaign County RPC is a people-focused agency made up of over 100 programs designed to generate possibilities for all within our community. A great deal of planning goes into creating opportunities where people can succeed on their own, and RPC is doing that work. From analysis to policy guidance to offering services to our communities, RPC’s people plan for people.

The Early Childhood Education Teacher is responsible for managing the classroom, carrying out a developmentally appropriate educational program to meet the individual needs of each child, and promoting good communication between the Head Start program, parents, and the community. Our culture requires that the Early Childhood Education Teacher ensures a supportive, inclusive, and welcoming environment every day and fosters a sense of belonging and safety for staff, families, and children.

Requirements
  • Child Development Associate Credential (CDA) with Infant-Toddler CDA preferred
  • Experience working in an early childhood setting preferred
  • Must meet all requirements of Illinois Department of Children and Family Services
  • Demonstrated dependability and exemplary attendance required
  • Knowledge of Head Start and other agency rules and regulations preferred
  • Experience working with diverse populations preferred
  • Must meet all requirements of Illinois Department of Children and Family Services

Starting Hourly Wage:

$19.58 - $20.60 (CDA)
$20.60 - $21.64 (AA)
$25.76 - $26.79 (BA)
$27.73 - $28.76 (MS)
DOQ (Depending on Qualifications)
