We are seeking a dedicated and qualified Special Education Teacher (LBS1 certified) to join a supportive team at the high school level in La Salle, IL. This is a full-time, in-person opportunity with a 42-week contract, ideal for educators passionate about helping students with diverse learning needs thrive.
Responsibilities- Deliver specialized instruction to high school students with a range of disabilities.
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families.
- Monitor student progress and adjust instruction based on individual needs.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with state and federal guidelines.
- Must hold a valid Illinois LBS1 certification.
- Must be available for mandatory in-person training (August 11–15) and to begin the school year on August 18.
- Prior experience with high school students preferred (minimum 1 year recommended).
- Must be available to work Monday through Friday, on-site in La Salle, IL.
- 42-week contract
- $85/hour, before taxes and benefits, paid weekly
- Full-time, in-person position only (remote not available)
