Long Term Substitute Teacher For Culinary Arts
Momence High School is searching for a long term substitute teacher for culinary arts to join our team.
Qualifications:- A valid and current Illinois State PEL or an Illinois Substitute license or the ability to obtain one.
- Ability to implement curriculum in an engaging manner, applying various teaching methods. Strong supervisory and classroom management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a proven ability to maintain professionalism.
- Proficient with Google Suite or related software.
- Plans, organizes, and implements the culinary arts curriculum appropriate for students in the 7/8th grade.
- Plans and develops an engaging, age-appropriate course of study in the classroom, adhering to educational best practices and state and school district curriculum guidelines.
- Designs and presents individual lesson plans using a variety of teaching techniques that appeal to various learning styles and methods.
- Prepares materials for lessons, assignments, and tests; evaluates and grades student performance.
- Monitors students' progress throughout the year and evaluates preparedness for the upcoming grade level; communicates all progress and concerns with professionalism to guardians and, as appropriate, students, other faculty, staff, and/or administrators; builds and maintains positive rapport and communication with guardians.
- Recognizes and supports diversity and equity in support of school and district initiatives.
- Enjoy working with a diverse group of students of different socio-economic backgrounds.
- Participates in faculty meetings, educational conferences, in-service opportunities, workshops, and other training seminars as required.
- This position directly reports to the school principal and functionally reports to the other school administrators and district directors.
- Performs additional related duties within the scope of this position.
Substitite Daily Rate- $135 per day
