Transition Advisor – UNLV Enrollment Management (CSN Transfer Center)

This position provides academic advising and major/career planning for CSN students planning to transfer to UNLV. The Advisor will work across multiple UNLV and CSN campus locations, collaborating with advising centers, enrollment management, faculty, and administrative offices to provide accurate, up‑to‑date information and support the transfer process.

• Deliver academic advising and career planning services to CSN students.
• Maintain current knowledge of CSN and UNLV curriculum, policies, and procedures.
• Act as liaison between CSN and UNLV advising centers and other units.
• Participate in partnership events, attend travel as needed, and coordinate with the Registrar, Admissions, Career Services, and other campus resources.
• Support diversity, inclusion, and engagement for transfer students.
• Lead special initiatives as directed by the UCTP Director.
• Travel both in and out of state, work irregular hours including weekends and evenings when necessary.

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution; equivalent experience may substitute: four additional years of work experience or an associate’s degree plus two years of experience.
• 1–3 years of related professional experience, including at least one year in a customer‑service related industry (a master’s degree may substitute for work experience).
• Valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and valid auto insurance.
• Knowledge of CSN and UNLV admissions, registration, and financial aid systems.
• Experience in academic advising in higher education (preferred).
• Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.

• Three years of experience in academic advising in higher education.
• General knowledge of CSN and UNLV general core requirements and institutional policies.
