A. Logan College seeks a Mary Logan High School Instructor to teach college-aligned courses to high school students in Carterville, IL. The instructor will design and deliver engaging, standards-based lessons, assess student learning, and support college and career readiness. Responsibilities include maintaining a positive, inclusive classroom, using data to guide instruction, collaborating with high school and college faculty, and communicating with families as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Teach standards-based, college-aligned courses to Mary Logan High School students in alignment with John

    A. Logan College expectations.
  • Develop, adapt, and update course syllabi, lesson plans, and assessments to support college and career readiness.
  • Create and maintain an inclusive, well-managed classroom that supports diverse learners and promotes student success.
  • Use assessment data and student feedback to monitor progress and adjust instruction to improve learning outcomes.
  • Collaborate with high school and college faculty, counselors, and administrators to support student pathways and program alignment.
  • Communicate with students and families, as appropriate, regarding progress, expectations, and available support resources.
  • Integrate educational technology and learning management systems to enhance instruction and student engagement.
  • Participate in professional development, departmental meetings, and college/school initiatives to support continuous improvement.
  • Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and documentation in compliance with institutional and state requirements.
  • Uphold college, district, and state policies, including FERPA and student conduct standards.
