POSITION SUMMARY

The University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) is inviting applications for an Assistant Professor‑In‑Residence in the Department of Computer Science, Howard R. Hughes College of Engineering. The position will begin in Fall 2026 and is full‑time and exempt.

• Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Computer Science.
• Advise and mentor students.
• Develop courses and curriculum.
• Lead projects and supervise laboratory work.
• Participate in shared governance and departmental service.
• Write and pursue education, interdisciplinary and teaching‑focused grants.

• Ph.D. in Computer Science from an accredited institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education or the Council on Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA).
• Experience teaching at a research‑intensive (R1) university.
• All credentials must be obtained before the start date.

• Experience teaching courses in Programming Languages and Compiler Construction.
