Salary Range: $44,000.00 - $55,000.00 Salary/year
Founded in 2001, LEARN is a network of high‑performing college preparatory, tuition‑free public elementary and middle schools with the mission of providing children with the academic foundation and ambition to earn a college degree. There are 11 LEARN schools serving 4,100 students in grades PK‑8 across Chicago, Waukegan, North Chicago, and Washington, D.C.
About the OpportunityThe Pre‑K Teacher will be responsible for the daily operation of their classroom, providing high quality instruction to all students every day and cultivating ongoing relationships with students’ families, staff, and community members.

- A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Early Childhood Education and an Illinois State Board of Education Teaching Certificate (PEL or ELS APE) and Birth‑3rd Grade Endorsement or a Gateway level 5

Pre‑K teachers will work in a busy and active environment, supervising all children at all times. They may be required to participate in school‑sponsored events, field trips, and network professional development meetings. Physical demands include lifting and carrying children and equipment, frequent movement indoors and outdoors, and standing, bending, reaching, stooping, walking, and kneeling up to 60% of the day. The role requires the ability to lift 15–40 pounds for short periods.
