Pediatric Developmental Services (PDS) is looking to hire a Registered Nurse or LPN . In this role the RN or LPN will provide 1:1 support to an assigned elementary student within a self-contained classroom setting. Responsibilities include assisting with medical needs such as tube feeding, trach, toileting to that specific student. When you're not providing direct student care, you will support the classroom teacher with general instructional and classroom duties.

RN and TA RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provide basic care for students when they are injured ill, and manage chronic conditions
  • 1:1 for First grade student
  • Student is in a self contained classroom.
  • Student has a trach and needs toileting assistance (wears pull ups). possible feeding tube
  • work with the student, as well, keeping them on task
  • Oversee the school's medication administration program
  • Educate students and staff on healthy habits, such as hygiene and proper nutrition
  • Work with school staff to ensure the physical and emotional safety of the school
REGISTERED NURSE QUALIFICATIONS
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of employment
  • Experience or specialized training in the field of pediatric mental health is preferred
  • Must pass background check and any required school district clearances
  • Has the ability to coordinate activities and work effectively with professional staff, support staff, parents, and representatives from agencies outside the school system
