ESL Teacher in Freeburg, IL

Step into an exciting opportunity empowering young learners as a contract ESL teacher for elementary students. This part-time role is perfect for educators passionate about language development and committed to making a difference in the classroom. Working with students in 1st, 2nd, and 5th grades, youll provide tailored instruction to help each child develop confidence and proficiency in English in a supportive school environment.

• Active ESL teaching license is required
• Previous experience in general education or ESL instruction at the elementary level is strongly preferred
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage young learners
• Strong commitment to fostering an inclusive, nurturing classroom environment
• Collaborative attitude and flexibility to adapt to evolving educational needs

• Deliver engaging, age-appropriate ESL lessons to a small caseload of elementary students
• Work with one 5th grader daily for 30 minutes, Monday through Friday
• Support one 1st grader and one 2nd grader for 30 minutes per session, three days a week
• Assess student needs, track progress, and adjust instructional strategies accordingly
• Collaborate with staff and parents to support student goals and celebrate achievement
