Mosquito Control Specialist

As a Mosquito Control Specialist at Mosquito Authority, you will use proven mosquito-control products and techniques on both commercial and residential properties. Our Specialists provide expert mosquito control in a friendly, respectful, and efficient manner. This role requires dedication to impeccable client service and physical work. No prior experience is needed; you will receive on‑the‑job training.
Specialist – Performance StandardsMaintain accurate documentation of pesticide application in a timely manner; provide clear and accurate sketches to support field surveys. Provide outstanding customer service and address customer concerns courteously, in a timely manner and provide reliable information. Consistently provide appropriate treatments to residential and commercial properties for mosquito, fly and tick control.
Specialist – Principal Duties- Participate fully in training opportunities to enhance knowledge and meet licensing requirements.
- Pass all State of Illinois testing.
- Provide excellent service through proper treatment techniques.
- Present complimentary service coupons to interested parties for referral fee commission.
- Be knowledgeable of all services to help identify problems and offer solutions.
- Communicate with customers about their application and future applications.
- Properly apply chemicals following all company, state, and federal regulations.
- Safely drive a company-provided truck following all state and federal laws.
- Follow the assigned route and timeline provided by management to service accounts.
- Communicate feedback to Mosquito Authority staff regarding operations.
- Keep all working areas neat, including cleaning the work truck weekly.
- Operate a backpack fogger that weighs up to 60 lbs.
- Access database and mapping systems via mobile computing devices.
- Respond to management and customer service requests.
- Hang door hangers and place yard signs within the neighborhood of customers as directed.
- Accurately mix and apply pesticides.
- Prepare daily field service reports and keep accurate records of pesticide applications and other field activities.
- Adequate written and verbal English communication ability.
- Valid driver's license and good driving record.
- High school diploma, GED, or college degree.
- Ability to pass all required testing from the State of Illinois; training and testing expenses are covered.
- 3+ years of driving history.
- Strong interpersonal skills for speaking with coworkers, customers, and business professionals.
- Ability to earn a General Standards Pesticide Certification via IL Dept. of Agriculture within 14 days of hire.
- Ability to travel to customer locations driving company vehicle.
- Ability to work outdoors in the elements.
Full or Part Time positions available.
Pay$19.00 per hour with optional healthcare option or $20.00 per hour with no healthcare option.
Monthly and Annual Bonus ProgramsEach specialist has the opportunity to earn a monthly and annual bonus based on performance and attendance.
