Plant Supervisor - Kincaid

Serves as the first line supervisor responsible for directing employees in the operation of station equipment and facilities at the Kincaid Power Station. Incumbent will provide leadership in the implementation of policies, procedures, assessments, and work methods for the Operations team members assigned to the shift. Salary range $79,800 to $125,700 annually, plus bonus, profit sharing and benefits.

• Oversees production at Kincaid Power Station to ensure safe, environmentally responsible, reliable, efficient and economical electricity generation.
• Ensures the station operates within local, company, state and federal regulations and policies.
• Performs general leadership and administrative duties, including employee performance assessment/counseling, safety and training.
• Implements policies, procedures and work methods for Control Room Operators and other assigned personnel.
• Has thorough understanding of safety policies/programs and environmental and regulatory policies/requirements.
• Works outdoors in adverse weather and in environments involving heat, cold, machinery, energized wires, loud noise, dust, grease, oil, fumes.
• Wears personal protective equipment as required (hard hats, safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, respirators, chemical suits, high voltage protective equipment, firefighter gear).
• Coordinates Operations activities with other departments at the station.
• Sets and communicates performance and professionalism standards.
• Works a rotating shift.

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 5+ years advanced knowledge of fossil fuel power station operations.
• Proficient computer skills in programs such as Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Requires working on feet for extended periods with varied shifts including weekend and holiday work.
• Ability to frequently climb stairs, ladders, and work from elevated platforms up to 75 feet or more.
• Possess a valid driver's license.

• Two years in a supervisor position, preferably in a union environment.
• Associate's Degree related to power plants or other relevant industry, technical degree, or relative military experience.
• Experience in leadership, problem solving, negotiating, computer and effective communication skills.
• Operating experience with B&W cyclone UP boilers and Westinghouse turbine generators.
• Power Plant Control Room Operator experience preferred.
