Plant Supervisor - Kincaid

Job Summary

Serves as the first line supervisor responsible for directing employees in the operation of station equipment and facilities at the Kincaid Power Station. Incumbent will provide leadership in the implementation of policies, procedures, assessments, and work methods for the Operations team members assigned to the shift. This role will pay between $79,800 to $125,700 annually, depending upon skills and experience. The position is also eligible for bonus, profit sharing, and benefits.

• Oversees production at Kincaid Power Station to ensure safe, environmentally responsible, reliable, efficient, and economical electricity generation.
• Ensures the station operates within local, company, state, and federal regulations and policies.
• Performs general leadership and administrative duties, including employee performance assessment/counseling, safety, and training.
• Performs leadership duties in the implementation of policies, procedures, and work methods for Control Room Operators and other assigned personnel.
• Maintains a thorough understanding of safety policies/programs, environmental and regulatory policies/requirements.
• Works outdoors in adverse weather conditions, exposure to heat, cold, operating machinery, energized wires, loud noise, dust, grease, oil, and fumes.
• Wears personal protective equipment when required (e.g., hard hats, safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, respirators, chemical suits, high voltage protective equipment, and firefighter gear).
• Coordinates Operations' activities with other departments at the station.
• Sets and communicates performance and professionalism standards.
• Works a rotating shift.

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 5+ years advanced knowledge of fossil fuel power station operations.
• Proficient computer skills in programs such as Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Endure prolonged standing and working for extended hours on varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Ability to frequently climb stairs and ladders, and work from elevated platforms and walkways at elevations of 75 feet or more.
• Possess a valid driver’s license.

• Two years of experience in a supervisor position, preferably in a union environment.
• Associate’s Degree related to power plants or another relevant industry, or a technical degree or relevant military experience.
• Experience involving leadership, problem solving, negotiating, computing, and effective communication skills.
• Operating experience with B&W cyclone UP boilers and Westinghouse turbine generators.
• Power Plant Control Room Operator experience preferred.
