Job Title: Procurement/Sourcing Engineer - Automotive Industry

Location: Mossville, Illinois

Job Description & Skill Requirement:

Procurement/Sourcing Engr is responsible for managing sourcing and source moves for complex Iron Castings and Machined Iron Castings. This position will be responsible for quoting, analyzing quotes for best TCO (Total Cost of Ownership), managing source moves from current to new suppliers, monitoring buffer inventory, managing tool moves associated with source change, and working closely with Category Buyers, Supplier Development Engineers, and Design Engineers to ensure all requirements for quality, volume, and supplier readiness are met, while preparing and presenting to Project Stakeholders.

This job role covers scope from quote to production. Candidates need strong purchasing, business acumen, presentation, and computer skills. Experience in purchasing business acumen, global team coordination, casting, machining, engineering, project management, new product introduction, supply chain, supplier management, and quality will all be beneficial.

The position also involves working with cross‑functional teams to complete metallurgical, quality, validation, and fitment tests to prove out the newly sourced part in the assembly facility, and to secure buy‑in from all stakeholders to close the sourcing cycle process.

Compensation: $80,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
