Location:
Peoria, Normal or Champaign, IL
- Work independently to obtain records & project information
- Prepare complex drawings from field data and field sketches using computer-aided drafting software platforms and ensure drawings are accurate and complete.
- Adhere to company and client standard CAD procedures as mandated.
- Exercise independent judgment in the execution of surveying deliverables.
- Communicate ideas for drawing execution, design, and layout.
- Maintain schedules and communicate progress on a daily basis.
- Mentor less experienced surveying technicians and offer advice & knowledge.
- 6+ years previous surveying experience
- Valid US driver's license & good driving record
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Ability to operate in a mentor / mentee team atmosphere
- Ability to understand and utilize current & new technology
- Safety oriented
- Excellent communication skills
- Positive and collaborative work ethic
- Experience with MS Office products (Word & Excel)
- 10+ years previous surveying experience
- Expert/advanced understanding of land surveying and geometry.
- Expert knowledge of AutoCAD C3D and/or Micro Station ORD
- CST1 or CST2 or CST3 (certified survey technician level 1, 2 or
3) certification. - Experienced with Aerial Drone and 3D Point Cloud scanning technology.
Physical Requirements
- Primarily an office position, ability to work outside on projects if needed.
- Ability to work in various terrain & weather conditions and recognize safety hazards.
- Requires the ability to work on multi-discipline projects simultaneously.
- Ability to use a computer and work in an office environment.
- Makes suggestions & undertakes company mandated trainings to increase skill and ability.

$30 - $40 per hour (Salary determined by education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, as well as internal and external equity).
