Job Description & How to Apply Below
Location: Barrington

A leading manufacturer in the rubber track and equipment industry is seeking a Senior OE (Original Equipment) Account Executive to support and grow strategic partnerships with major OE equipment manufacturers. This role is highly technical and relationship-driven, requiring a strong engineering foundation, deep understanding of OE production environments, and the ability to liaise between customer engineering teams and the parent company's engineering, quality, and product development functions.
This position will serve as the primary point of contact for OE customers, supporting product development, product qualification (PPAP, FMEA, etc.), supply chain monitoring, quality assurance, and warranty resolutions. The Senior OE Account Executive will also contribute to forecasting, planning, and business development within established manufacturing partners-focusing on expanding product programs rather than acquiring new OE customers.
This role is ideal for a technically strong, customer-centric sales professional who is comfortable balancing engineering-level conversations with commercial relationship management. While this is not yet a management role, the selected candidate has clear potential to move into leadership within 1-2 years. The position requires significant domestic and international travel, including trips to customer sites across the U.S. as well as Japan and Poland.
This role is onsite in Barrington, Illinois, with flexibility for customer-based travel.

We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day. We are an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer that believes everyone matters. Qualified candidates will receive consideration for employment regardless of their race, color, ethnicity, religion, sex (including pregnancy), sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, marital status, national origin, ancestry, genetic factors, age, disability, protected veteran status, military or uniformed service member status, or any other status or characteristic protected by applicable laws, regulations, and ordinances.

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in civil, mechanical, industrial, or a related engineering discipline.

• 3-5 years of OE (Original Equipment) sales experience, ideally within the construction, agriculture, or industrial equipment manufacturing industries.
- Strong technical understanding of machinery, equipment design, and product development processes, with the ability to collaborate on new product development with OE customers.
- Experience supporting or participating in product qualification processes, such as PPAP, FMEA, quality testing, and engineering reviews.

• Proven communication skills with the ability to collaborate across cultures and interface effectively with global teams, including parent company stakeholders.

• Ability to manage customer relationships at a high level, providing "hand-holding" where needed and guiding customers through technical and commercial processes.

• Willingness and ability to travel 30%+, including domestic travel to OE manufacturers and international travel to Japan and Poland.

• Experience working independently with low oversight - able to "run the ship" as there are currently no other OE reps on the team.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Experience developing new rubber track or equipment-related products directly with OE manufacturers.

• Prior experience working with Caterpillar, Bobcat, John Deere, or other heavy equipment OEMs with the caveat that they will NOT pull candidates directly from caterpillar in the Carolina's or any Bobcat location.

• Low-level or emerging leadership experience, particularly overseeing customer programs or coordinating cross-functional efforts.

Benefit packages for this role will start on the 1st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
