MBD Controls Engineer

Job Description Responsibilities

• Interaction with customers and Identifying requirements from customers
• Development of software design and configuration of Application software components
• Responsibility in platform and Customer feature development
• Perform embedded software integration, Configure, and integrate Object Code
• Create test plan for unit testing and functional Integration testing
• Perform Unit testing on Test Bench, Functional Validation with Test Cell, or actual vehicle
• Ability to work and collaborate in a dynamic team environment
• Review development and validation artifacts with customer time to time
• Achieving first time right and seeking maximum clarity from customer as well as team
• Interaction with cross functional teams to gather necessary information
• Time management to complete work in time.
• Meeting customer’s expectations and assertively negotiate where required for time or efforts

• 5-8 years of experience with bachelors or master’s in Electronics, Electrical or Computer engineering or related field
• Embedded software/controls development using Model based design (MATLAB/ Simulink)
• Ability to understand and write system level requirements
• Take ownership of the software development through testing and validation
• Ability to conduct MIL, SIL or HIL testing to validate the Controls system software
• Provide support for troubleshooting all software and system related issues
• Interact with a highly skilled team in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge on automotive controls/calibration will be an advantage
• Good knowledge of CAN Protocol and J1939 protocols [Good to have]
• Good knowledge of AUTOSAR Application SW Component and Basic SW [Good to have]
• Experience in using the VECTOR tools would be an added advantage [Good to have]
• Core2 knowledge will be a plus
• Proven ability to work with global delivery, architecture team
• Strong Verbal, Communication & Presentation Skills
• Interaction with stakeholders, customers in understanding requirements
• Problem Solving and debugging skills
