We are seeking an Electrical Engineer – Component Validation to support legacy electronics systems, focusing on sustaining, validating, and managing electronic components used across machines and engines. This is a highly technical, hands‑on role involving hardware testing, supplier collaboration, and system‑level validation.
You will lead component validation efforts, perform testing coordination with internal/external labs, and ensure reliable performance of both existing and replacement components.
This role is fully on‑site and requires strong ownership, communication, and technical execution.
Key Responsibilities- Lead electronic component validation for legacy engineering programs.
- Coordinate and perform EMC, vibration, and hardware testing with internal and external labs.
- Conduct technical reviews at electronic hardware supplier sites.
- Participate in NPI review meetings
, presenting test results and validation coverage. - Perform data mining and analytics
, preparing detailed technical reports and presentations. - Use hardware/software validation tools such as CANape, oscilloscopes, multimeters, dSPACE
, BUS managers, etc. - Design ECM harnesses and define routing for aftermarket machine/engine kits.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally on requirements, standards updates, and system‑level validation.
- Execute back‑to‑back validation of old vs. new components and identify automation opportunities using scripts.
- Experience designing/integrating advanced electronics to replace obsolete components.
- Experience working with low‑volume electronic suppliers and managing legacy component transfers.
- Knowledge of electronic control modules, telematics, and display hardware.
- Background in system sustainment, obsolescence planning, and risk identification.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering (Master’s preferred).
- 4+ years of industry experience (or Master’s + 2+ years).
- Strong electronic hardware knowledge.
- Proven validation and testing experience.
- Excellent communication and technical documentation skills.
- Experience in agile environments.
- Familiarity with legacy electronic systems.
- Hands‑on testing experience with EMC and hardware test facilities.
