Draftsman​/Designer​/Engineer

B&DMachine Works Inc is seeking a Draftsman / Designer / Engineer.

B&DMachine Works Inc specializes in fabrication, machining, and equipment repair for the steel and coal industry. Qualified individuals should be well versed in 2D and 3D drawing practices as well as proper file management.

• Work with Engineering Manager to supply drawings and information as required
• Review and update existing drawings to be legible and accurate for the shop floor
• Create shop drawings specific to the job when necessary
• Create 2D and 3D drawings from scratch for new components and structures
• Travel to customer job site to measure equipment in the field, for the purpose of creating initial drawing package
• Assist in keeping drawing revisions up to date
• Assist in proper drawing file maintenance

• BS in Engineering preferred, but not required
• Proficient in 2D drafting using Autodesk AutoCAD drafting software
• Proficient in 3D drafting using Autodesk Inventor drafting software
• Experience using Solid Works a plus
• Ability to accurately read measuring equipment such as tape measures, calipers, and micrometers
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Attention to detail a must
