Location: Mossville
Dev / Research Engineer 3 (Hydraulic Testing) — Onsite | Mossville, IL
Shift: 7 AM–5 PM (flexible core hours) |
Travel: up to 25%
Interview: 2 Rounds (Virtual Panel)
About the RoleJoin a hands‑on engineering team leading hydraulic component and system testing for advanced heavy equipment platforms. You’ll plan and execute lab tests, analyze performance and failures, and deliver actionable insights that improve product reliability and design.
What You’ll Do- Plan, set up, and run mechanical/hydraulic tests on components and subsystems
- Investigate equipment failures and perform root cause analysis
- Analyze test data and present clear conclusions and recommendations
- Collaborate with lab managers, test leads, and shop personnel
- Support design teams with manufacturability and performance feedback
- Document results and maintain test records to safety and quality standards
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related)
- 3–7 years of hands‑on testing in a lab or hardware environment
- Strong mechanical aptitude with experience in data analysis and failure analysis
- Ability to read engineering drawings and interpret test results
- Comfortable working onsite with hardware and equipment
- Hydraulics or fluid power systems experience
- Test engineering or validation background
- CAD familiarity (for model review)
Organized, safety‑focused, and client‑oriented—able to partner with engineers and technicians to deliver high‑quality, timely test outcomes.
