Substation Civil Structural Engineer

We are in search of a Substation Civil Structural Engineer to join our diverse and fast‑paced organization. As a core team member, you will be interacting with other electric utility disciplines, playing a valuable part in leading and designing high voltage utility projects. This position can be filled remotely contingent upon candidate’s qualifications, skillset, and character.

Perform design of civil/structural components for substation projects, including steel structures, concrete structures, foundations, rigid bus design, oil spill containment, retaining walls, masonry control shelters, and fire‑walls. Contribute to bid/construction packages, provide design calculations, detail markups, and support project scope, schedule, and budget. Conduct site visits to client substation facilities and travel for client meetings and industry events as required. Comply with quality control, safe work practices, and maintain project compliance.

• B.S. degree in Civil Engineering
• Engineer with 2+ years of directly applicable experience
• PE License preferred or near completion
• Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Mathcad
• Experience with RISA 3‑D, STAAD.Pro, FAD, SAFE, SAG
  10, and LPILE
• Familiarity with AutoCAD and Micro Station
• Strong analytical and technical writing skills
• Team player with ability to communicate with clients and staff
