Are you a motivated Town Planner looking to develop your career in a supportive, specialist consultancy environment?

We're working with a highly respected independent planning consultancy to recruit a Town Planner into their Oxfordshire-based team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a close-knit, expert-led practice known for delivering high-quality planning advice across residential, heritage, and rural development projects.

The Opportunity

You’ll be joining a collaborative team with a strong reputation for navigating complex planning challenges. The role offers hands‑on involvement across a wide range of projects, giving you the chance to build your experience and progress your career in a dynamic and flexible environment.

  • Greater project ownership and client exposure
  • A varied workload across residential and rural schemes
  • Mentorship from experienced planning professionals
  • A clear path toward MRTPI chartership (if not already achieved)
Key Responsibilities
  • Preparing and submitting planning applications and appeals
  • Supporting on a wide range of development projects
  • Conducting site appraisals and planning research
  • Drafting planning statements and reports
  • Liaising with clients, local authorities, and consultants
  • Supporting senior team members on complex projects
About You
  • Degree qualified in Town Planning or related discipline
  • Working towards MRTPI or recently chartered
  • Experience in a consultancy or local authority environment
  • Strong report writing and communication skills
  • Enthusiastic, proactive, and keen to develop professionally
