Lead Process Automation Systems Engineer

Wood is recruiting for a Lead Process Automation Systems Engineer to join its Iraq business unit focusing on leading automation system design and implementation for a Major Onshore Brownfield Project in Basra, Iraq on 6/1 work schedule. This role is a full-time on-site role in Basra, Iraq with travel requirement.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Lead Process Automation Systems Engineer to join our Iraq Business Unit. Technical authority for process automation systems including PCS, SIS, alarm management, and historian systems. Lead automation system design and implementation. Define control strategies, alarm philosophies, and automation standards. Ensure IEC 61131-3, IEC 61511, IEC 62682 compliance. Provide technical mentorship to engineering teams.

Support commissioning, upgrades, and lifecycle optimisation.
