Caterpillar's Electrification & Energy Solutions (E+ES) Division will focus on delivering advanced electrified power trains, zero-emissions products/technologies, and the solutions and services associated with these technologies. Focus areas include batteries, fuel cells, motors, inverters, micro grid controllers, charging, energy storage systems, lifecycle solutions/services, and integration of components for ePowertrain solutions across industries. E+ES currently has an opening for a Power Electronics EOL Test & Validation Senior Engineer. This position is located in Mossville, Illinois with responsibility for the production manufacturing EOL (End of Line) test of Power Electronics product lines. The incumbent will report to the E+ES Power Electronics Manufacturing Engineering Manager and will partner with and provide technical EOL testing guidance to global engineering and supplier partner teams.
You will lead the planning and delivery of complex projects, continually learn and stay abreast of innovative technology, and drive collaboration in a cross functional environment.

• Implements and improves testing, development and validation techniques, processes, tooling and machinery to maximize product quality.
• Resolving issues regarding the design or manufacturing. Ensuring design acceptance and manufacturing readiness.
• Participating in the adoption of new technologies and processes (automation, robotics, computer aided manufacturing software, etc.) to achieve greater efficiency, cost reduction and quality improvement.
• Planning and improving testing procedures and operations to make the test more reliable, efficient and cost-effective.
• Monitoring results, machine and process capabilities and performance reliability.
Requires a degree in an accredited Engineering, Computer Science, or Materials Science curriculum or equivalent experience working in an Engineering function.
