Job Overview

We are seeking an Engine Control Systems Engineer to design, develop, and validate electro-mechanical control systems for engine performance and emissions optimization. The ideal candidate will have experience with engine controls, dynamic feedback systems, simulation, and testing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and validate engine control strategies for spark-ignited, diesel, and dual-fuel engines.
  • Develop and refine engine control system requirements with cross-functional teams.
  • Build and maintain MATLAB/Simulink and GT-Power Model-in-the-Loop (MiL) simulation models.
  • Design and verify control algorithms using simulation and on-engine testing.
  • Analyze test data using MATLAB, Python, and Vector CANape
    .
  • Troubleshoot control systems and optimize engine performance.
  • Document technical findings and present recommendations to stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical/Electronics Engineering
    .
  • 2–5 years of experience in engine control systems or dynamic feedback control
    .
  • Strong knowledge of dynamic feedback control theory
    , embedded systems
    , and digital signal processing
    .
  • Experience with MATLAB/Simulink
    , GT-Power
    , and Vector CANape
    .
  • Knowledge of Model-in-the-Loop (MiL) development and validation.
  • Experience with product development
    , product testing
    , and requirements analysis
    .
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Engineering.
  • Experience with MIMO control systems
    , system identification, and physics-based modeling.
  • Experience developing engine control systems for gas, diesel, and dual-fuel engines
    .
  • Familiarity with NPI, NTI, and CPI product development processes.
