• Developed production-grade 2D LiDAR localization algorithms in C++/ROS2 for autonomous mobile robots at GM, creating localization quality scoring used to gate navigation and recovery behaviors.
• Deep expertise in localization, SLAM, and state estimation, including particle filter SLAM, Kalman filtering, factor graph optimization, UWB/IMU fusion, and multi-sensor positioning systems.
• Strong perception background involving semantic segmentation, RGBD mapping, imaging sonar, NeRF, 3D Gaussian Splatting, computer vision, and underwater scene reconstruction.
• Applied sensor calibration, multi-modal perception, and shipwreck localization pipelines combining sonar, vision, and GPS data, achieving accurate positioning in challenging environments.
