Constellation Energy seeks an Engineer, Snubber Program to support our Engineering & Design team in the Energy & Utilities sector. In this role, you will lead the design, analysis, inspection support, and lifecycle management of snubber systems that protect critical plant piping and equipment. Responsibilities include performing stress and vibration analyses, developing procedures and maintenance plans, supporting field troubleshooting and root-cause evaluations, and ensuring compliance with nuclear and industry standards.
You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to improve reliability, safety, and performance while contributing to Constellation's innovative, sustainable energy mission in a culture that values diversity, collaboration, and professional growth.
Responsibilities
- Lead design, analysis, and lifecycle management of snubber systems for nuclear and conventional power plants
- Perform stress, vibration, and fatigue analyses using FEA and industry codes/standards
- Develop and maintain snubber program procedures, specifications, and maintenance plans
- Support inspections, testing, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis of snubber issues
- Prepare technical reports, engineering calculations, and regulatory documentation
- Collaborate with plant operations, maintenance, and design teams to ensure system reliability and safety
- Drive continuous improvement, reliability enhancements, and cost-optimized solutions
- Ensure compliance with NRC, ASME, and other applicable nuclear/industry regulations
